Dr. Meg G. – NIH SBIR Grant Writer, PhD in Nutritional Biochemistry, MBA
NIH SBIR grant writer Dr. Meg G. is a serial early-stage life science entrepreneur. She has provided both embedded leadership and NIH SBIR/STTR fundraising support for startup companies for over 15 years. During this time, she has attracted over $12 million for her client companies. Her focus includes both therapeutics and medical devices in cardiovascular, stroke, and pulmonary indications.
Previously, she served as Senior Vice President of Life Science Venture Acceleration at Rev1 Ventures. She led a portfolio of life science technologies primarily from the Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (RINCH) and The Ohio State University. Through this role she provided embedded leadership as CEO of Lyst Therapeutics, a startup co-founded by Rev1 Ventures and RINCH.
Prior to Rev1 Ventures, she was the Director of Business Development at BioEnterprise, a life science venture development firm where she led the due diligence team for medical devices, pharma, biotech, diagnostics, and healthcare IT. She built a team of Business Development Analysts and developed a strong foundation in cultivating talent to create highly functioning teams. The program won the Best Intern in Northeast Ohio award in 2013, an honor bestowed by the Northeast Ohio Council of Higher Education. During the six years in this role, she oversaw the review of over 1200 technologies or companies involving project management including financial evaluation and model building, grant and business plan writing, intellectual property assessment, regulatory and reimbursement strategies, and competitive landscape analysis.
NIH SBIR Grant Writer Dr. Meg G. holds a Ph.D. in Nutritional Biochemistry as well as an MBA.
Her personal interests include hiking, cycling, cultural and adventure travel, endless house projects, STEM education, and civic philanthropy. She recently hiked the Inca Trail in Peru for the second time.
