As a result, these efforts led to FDA approval of a medical device and the progression of multiple oncology drug programs through IND to the clinic. He is considered a key opinion leader in the immunotherapy space and an advisor to several biotechnology companies.
Dr. Schwartz holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Colorado State University, a Masters in Biomedical Engineering and Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from The Ohio University. His dissertation focused on the development of robotic guided radiation therapy for the treatment of osteosarcoma while using stem cells to regenerate bone post-radiation. During his Masters studies, his thesis involved the development of novel immunotherapies for the treatment of melanoma and pancreatic cancer. He is a patent holder on multiple cancer drugs, published in prestigious journals and actively presents at conferences around the world. He has also served as a professor at the Johns Hopkins University where he has taught finance with a focus on the startup of biotechnology companies.
