Ms. Luba – Cardiology CME Writer
Ms. Luba is a skilled medical education content developer and program outcomes analyst, with more than 10 years of experience in all major therapeutic areas of clinical medicine, including cardiology, oncology, neurology, psychiatry, and rheumatology. She has created content and outcomes measurements for numerous continuing- (CME) and independent- (IME) medical education programs. In 2001, she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Cell and Molecular Biology at the State University of New York at New Paltz, and then, in 2006, a Master’s of Science degree in Developmental and Molecular Biology from the Sue Golding Graduate School at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. Her graduate work – published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry – focused on Skp-2-protein A interaction in cancer. Following her academic career, Ms. Luba worked in increasingly multi-faceted content development roles for the medical publishing, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries, writing grant applications, program content, as well as outcomes questions and reports, for CME and IME programs. She has extensive experience with different program/content formats (eg, print, web-based) and participant audiences (eg, clinicians, patients). With her experience in translating biomedical research insights into engaging and relevant content, she is particularly suited to working on medical education materials.
Ms. Lubas’s extensive CME content development experience includes writing and editing PowerPoint, print, and web-based publications/modules in cardiology (while at Medscape), oncology (while at Medscape, CME LLC, and Clinical Care Options), and psychiatry (while at CME LLC). In addition, in her role as the Director of Outcomes Analysis at CME LLC, she helped devise numerous CME outcomes questions and analyse the resulting reports. In her role as Scientific Director for the cardiology group at Medscape, she wrote, reviewed, and/or revised all outcomes questions for the programs she worked on.
