Experience: In addition to his consulting work with ScienceDocs, Dr. Reeves has worked at a range of start-up companies in a variety of technical roles. He has led client-facing technical teams while also developing tools and processes to improve the functioning of the organizations at which he has been employed. These roles involved frequent interactions with teams throughout these organizations requiring an ability to discuss and solve technical challenges at varying levels of granularity.
Dr. Reeves completed a Ph.D. in Computational Biology where his research focused on the application of probabilistic graphical models for elucidating the structure and function of heterogeneous communities of organisms with applications in disease research. His research activities also included statistical experimental design applied to the differential expression of genes and analysis of large genomic datasets. Throughout his graduate work, he developed deep knowledge in Bayesian Statistical analysis, experimental design and analysis of multivariate data sets, and the application of machine learning methods to large-scale datasets. Dr. Reeves received his Ph.D. from Cornell University, an M.S. in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics from Yale University, and a B.S. in Symbolic Systems with a minor in History from Stanford University.
