soical science editor Senior Grant Writer Dr. Devon B. earned his Ph.D. in social science from the University of California, Irvine, where his interdisciplinary training focused on anthropology, psychology, and sociology. Since earning his doctorate, he has worked as a researcher, teacher, grant writer, and consultant in the social sciences, medicine, and epidemiology. Devon has published more than 65 peer-reviewed journal articles (most as first or sole author) on research methods and design, research synthesis (systematic reviews and meta-analysis), statistics, social networks, memory, cognition, substance abuse, crime, and chronic and infectious disease, among other subjects. He has had several research grants from the National Institutes of Health and the National Institute of Justice and been a key contributor to projects funded by the National Scientific Foundation and other federal agencies.
