Dr. Lubman: Academic and SBIR Grant Consultant Instructor
Academic and SBIR Grant Consultant Dr. Lubman is a scientist and biomedical entrepreneur who offers consulting and grant writing services at ScienceDocs. Leveraging 20 years of experience in biomedical research spanning academic and private sectors, she has co-authored 12 first author publications in peer reviewed scientific journals and is a co-inventor on two patents. Dr. Lubman has written and contributed to many grant proposals spanning both federal (NIH, NSF, DOD, SBIR) and private foundations raising funds for research and salary support.
Dr. Lubman is passionate about translation of novel science into transformative medicines. She spent nine years as Instructor of Pathology and Immunology at Washington University School of Medicine leading efforts in the discovery, characterization and development of therapeutic applications for viral proteins that disrupt chemokine signaling networks. She has additional expertise in designing protein therapeutics having worked at Medimmune (Astrazenica) on engineering therapeutic proteins with longer half-life in serum.
As a committed mentor and educator who has taught biology related disciplines for over 20 years at the high school level, Dr. Lubman has also taught at both college and graduate school levels in the areas of biochemistry, immunology, molecular biology, protein crystallography, and protein thermodynamics.
Dr. Lubman holds a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from Washington University in Saint Louis. She completed post-doctoral training in Biophysics at John Hopkins University and another one in Developmental Biology at Washington University.
