Dr. Linda – Federal Grant Writer and Editor
Federal Grant Writer, Editor Dr. Linda has a B.A. from Oberlin College in English and graduate work in Clinical Audiology and Auditory Pathology from the University of Virginia.
Dr. Linda has more than 20 years of experience in grant writing and grant review for the federal government and has federal contracting experience. Federal experience includes particular expertise in healthcare, behavioral health and medical research applications and experience in educational initiatives, STEM and NSF applications.
Her federal grant work includes 2 years as a consultant to the Department of Labor (for medico legal analysis of hearing loss claims) and she was on the proposal team for the TAK-RX (for the winning bidder), a multi-billion dollar award through the DOD.
More recently she worked for Polycom, Inc. as a Grants Manager where she managed 15 states throughout the northeast with an emphasis on tele-educational and tele-health projects, including medical research. Grants submitted include applications for RTT-D, National Science Foundation (NSF), Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), HRSA and RUS DLT.
Over the past several years, Dr. Linda has submitted numerous SBIR applications for medical devices, medical research (including animal model trials) and other therapeutic innovations.
She has provided Grant Reviewer services to the Susan B Koman Foundation in Georgia and was a Grant Reviewer for the Department of Labor for three ARRA funding cycles: Pathways Out of Poverty initiative. Grant awards $2-$8 million for national and local programs. American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009- Strengthening Communities Fund Grant Review Program. Scoring/analysis/evaluation of $1,000,000 federal grant applications. The Office of Community Services grant review services for the grant cycle of the Compassion Capital Fund Demonstration Program. Scoring/evaluation/analysis of $500,000 federal grant applications.
Dr. Linda also provides final draft editing and analysis for federal grant applications.
