French to English Translator Dr. Maret has over five years of experience in scientific translation from French to English. Her early scientific training was in microbiology, biochemistry, molecular genetics, and in molecular biology. She earned her doctorate in Neurology and Neurosurgery with a focus on neuro-oncology from McGill University (Montréal, Canada). Her PhD thesis focused on the molecular mechanisms of tumor cell invasion and metastasis based on loss of adhesion. In addition to her PhD, she also completed the courses required towards a degree in medicine and has a good understanding of the pathophysiology of human disease. Dr. Maret is a native of the bilingual province of Québec, and has therefore received a bilingual education and has an excellent command of both English and French. She has translated scientific (and non-scientific texts) from French to English and English to French.
As a French to English Translator, Dr. Maret enjoys the challenge of reproducing the author’s intent, ideas and style in the translated document, while remaining within the confines of concise scientific and medical language.
