Dr. Michelle is a geologist and geology editor with more than six years of research experience in the earth sciences. Dr. Michelle has a BSc (Honours) degree from the University of Calgary with a major in geology and a minor in chemistry, and a PhD specializing in geological hyperspectral imaging from the University of Alberta. Dr. Michelle has research, writing, and editing experience in a broad range of earth science topics including: petroleum geology, sedimentology and stratigraphy, geological remote sensing, igneous and metamorphic petrology, mineralogy, geochemistry, economic geology, tectonics, seismology, hydrogeology, and science education. As a published author and experienced peer-reviewer, Dr. Michelle has extensive experience with the scientific publishing process. Her writing portfolio includes manuscripts, client reports, dissertations, project proposals, grant applications, teaching materials, and conference posters and presentations. Dr. Michelle enjoys working with clients from all backgrounds (academic, industry, government) and with writers for whom English is a second language.
