Mr. Espino is a seasoned machine learning engineer and technology leader with over 15 years of experience in digital transformation, data strategy, and enterprise software development. Mr. Espino has a proven track record of integrating advanced analytics into business workflows, optimizing cloud-based solutions, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business outcomes. In 2023, Mr. Espino transitioned into AI consulting, where he specializes in designing and implementing cutting-edge data solutions utilizing platforms such as Snowflake, Amazon Bedrock, and Microsoft Fabric. Previously to serving as a ScienceDocs Machine Learning Engineer, Mr. Espino served as a Senior Vice President of a mid-sized software company (2021–2023).  While there, he led the company’s enterprise technology transformation, modernizing its software strategy and cloud infrastructure. He managed a global team of over 50 engineers and a $5 million technology budget, optimizing software deployment and enhancing CI/CD pipelines to improve software release cycles.

From 2013 to 2021, as Director of Software Engineering at another mid-sized company, Mr. Espino played a pivotal role in developing scalable data platforms using Microsoft Azure and Snowflake. He led the creation of a machine learning model for insurance claims and denials, significantly improving claim processing accuracy and reducing revenue loss. His ability to bridge data science and business operations allowed him to deliver high-value solutions that streamlined financial workflows in healthcare.

Mr. Espino holds an M.S. in Computer Information Systems from Georgia Southwestern State University and a B.S. from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. He is certified as a Scrum Master (CSM), Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), and holds ITIL Foundation Certification, as well as Microsoft certifications including MCSA and MCTS. Additionally, he maintains an inactive CPA certification, reflecting his deep understanding of financial principles and their application in technology solutions.
