Dr. Matthew B. earned both his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from Purdue University. His dissertation focused on the development of molecules that modulate protein-protein interactions in the context of treatment for cancers caused by errors in DNA replication and damage repair. He serves as a co-awardee for the patent on this technology, in addition to his contributions in the development of a new class of chemical dye sensors for use in medical diagnostics.
