Experience: Mr. Medeiros founded software, research, and service companies as well as being a managing partner in law firms. He sits on the board of directors of an artificial intelligence financial company as well as the chair of the board of a transaction and dispute automation company. Mr. Medeiros brings a systems-based approach to negotiation, influence, and persuasion for scientists, engineers, and institutions by acknowledging human emotion. He assists clients in their most complex, stressful and high stakes negotiation. Mr. Medeiros has helped universities and research organizations with complex transactions as a trainer, coach, and attorney at law for over 25 years. Mr. Medeiros’ global focus to international business law with experience both in-house for American Airlines, Citigroup, and XPO Logistics; as well as in private practice at K&L Gates. Mr. Medeiros authored five books on a systems approach to negotiation. He is a frequent keynote speaker and founded a company that researches and teaches negotiation, statistics and game theory as applied to predict outcomes in transactions and disputes. Mr. Medeiros developed the negotiation curriculum for the Lewis and Clark School of Entrepreneurship, where he instructs and instructed at Oregon Health and Sciences University on the science of negotiation, influence, and persuasion. An author of five books, he also authored and updated chapters on foreign corporations and patent licensing in the two-volume set published by Oregon State Bar, Advising Oregon Businesses (2005, 2010, 2017, and 2019).
