Ms. Becky has spent over 25 years as a project manager within the federal government, writing and editing documents with a focus on the reader, whether local citizens or scientific reviewers.  Since 2012, Ms. Becky has also worked as a freelance grant writer and editor for clients in academia and industry. During this time, Ms. Becky has helped numerous clients with SBIR/STTR submissions to NSF, NIH, USDA, and DOD.  In addition to SBIR/STTR grant proposals, her work includes the writing and editing of technical scientific manuscripts, ISO 9000 Quality Management System (QMS) processes, data analysis and figure presentation, preparation of environmental documents for the general public, editing of secondary textbook chapters, creative writing for adults and children, blogging for GovLoop and Write On websites, and the preparation of research grants (including R01 and R21 NIH grants, and state-funded research grants). 

With a strong background in biology and chemistry, Ms. Becky’s writing skills can provide the link between the technical scientist and the non-technical reviewer while maintaining the accuracy of the proposal. 

Ms. Becky has a BA and MA in Biology (with Chemistry minor) from the University of Nebraska – Omaha, as well as additional relevant coursework include project management, QMS, and numerous SBIR/STTR proposal development.
