Mr. Whiteman holds an M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Chicago and a Bachelors in Biochemistry from Biola University in southern California. He has spent the last decade in the laboratory doing physical science research, which has involved scanning tunneling microscopy, nanoparticle synthesis, Raman spectroscopy, nonlinear optics, ultrahigh vacuum, and materials. Mr. Whiteman’s published research has led to the development of a new type of organic light emitting diode material with high absorption efficiency and lost cost.

 

Mr. Whiteman has edited over 400 manuscripts that have been accepted for publication in myriad journals, including Science and Nature. He has also written and edited several successful research grants, including the Department of Energy and Department of Defense. Mr. Whiteman has taught physical science at four colleges and universities.
