SBIR Grant Editor Ms. Todd specializes in guiding research-based companies with the process of preparing competitive SBIR/STTR applications and reviews these proposal drafts using agency-specific criteria. Experience

In addition to consulting with ScienceDocs, Ms. Todd has 13 years of experience in the SBIR/STTR program and with business plan development. She has assisted hundreds of companies with 1) preparing competitive SBIR/STTR applications across the 11 participating agencies, 2) developing business plans and slide decks for state-level technology commercialization funding, and 3) forming strong professional relationships with SBIR/STTR agency representatives. She has also organized and led SBIR/STTR training events for national audiences. Through her established relationships with SBIR/STTR agency representatives, Ms. Todd secures timely and substantive feedback for prospective applicants. Ms. Todd is nationally recognized as a thought leader in the SBIR/STTR community, and her award-winning clients have credited her proposal development services as being key to their success in this program. Many of Ms. Todd’s clients have engaged her SBIR/STTR proposal development services for multiple applications.

Ms. Todd holds a Master of Science in Animal Science, a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Arts in Professional and Technical Writing. She has helped to create and lead six statewide SBIR/STTR accelerator programs for first-time or previously unsuccessful SBIR/STTR applicant companies and their project partners. Two of these accelerator cohorts focused on the National Institutes of Health Omnibus SBIR/STTR funding opportunity announcements, two were specific to the National Science Foundation’s SBIR/STTR solicitations and two were dedicated to US Department of Agriculture SBIR/STTR request for applications.
