Dr. Pol – SBIR Grant Writer and Manuscript Editor
Dr. Pol is an expert in consumer psychology, marketing, and market research, who for the past three years has worked on SBIR grants for the National Science Foundation (NSF), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Department of Education (IES). She has served as Principal Investigator on a NSF SBIR grant, and her work on client applications has resulted in her very first client receiving an NSF SBIR Phase I grant on the first trial, and being currently recommended for a Phase II award. So far, the vast majority of grant applications that Dr. Pol has worked on have been funded (or recommended for funding). Dr. Pol holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Linz (Austria), a Master’s degree from the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration in Helsinki (Finland), an MBA degree from San Francisco State University (SFSU), and a Ph.D. degree in Consumer Psychology/Business from the University of Southern California (USC). She has assisted various companies—including a Fortune 500 client—with their commercialization or market research efforts. A polyglot fluent in four languages, she is a passionate and articulate researcher, whose expertise spans the scientific and commercial research domains. She has a deep understanding of both experimental and survey research, particularly in the behavioral and social sciences. Her scientific work has received multiple awards, has been presented at numerous academic conferences, and has been published in peer-reviewed business and psychology journals, including the Journal of Business Research and MIT Sloan Review. During her doctoral studies she served as an ad-hoc reviewer for several top-rated academic marketing journals, including the Journal of Consumer Psychology and the Journal of Consumer Research. So far, she has reviewed and provided feedback on dozens of scientific manuscripts across various behavioral and business disciplines.
