Ms. Vivian has a diploma in Translation from UNESP (University of São Paulo State) and is also a Certified Official English to Portuguese Translator (Tradutora Juramentada) in Brazil. She has been a professional translator since 1998 and she has handled many scientific topics over the years for ScienceDocs. Her language skills have helped her become an accurate translator, producing clear texts in various fields, such as medicine and health, pharmaceutical, environmental, travel and tourism, marketing, technical (lubrication and filtration systems, technical manuals, and IT), chemistry, husbandry, and others. In the medical area, she has translated ophthalmology articles for congresses, symposia, and medical journals; video subtitles for theheart.org in the areas of cardiology, diabetes, pneumonia, and vaccines; and applications for underdeveloped countries to receive funds from the Global Fund to fight malaria, AIDS, and tuberculosis. She also has some experience in translating texts in the pharmaceutical area (descriptions of drugs to be approved by the Brazilian Health Surveillance Agency, ANVISA, for use in Brazil). Over the years, Ms. Vivian has additional done many technical scientific/medical transcriptions for ScienceDocs in the area of online education. In her 17 years of experience as a professional translator, Ms. Vivian has continuously developed her writing skills and is always intrigued by new translation projects.
